Mike Patterson has been practicing Physical Therapy since 1983; he is a graduate from the University of Pittsburgh. In 1989 he received a certification in Manual Therapy from the Institute of Physical Therapy. Mike continues his education to maintain a broad knowledge of therapy. He is also a college instructor at AACC. In April of 2003 Mike decided to open his own private practice in order to serve his community.


Beth Patterson received her degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Pittsburgh. She has worked in outpatient orthopedics for over 20 years, and joined Mike at Patterson Physical Therapy in May of 2006. She has been a lecturer for the Arthritis Foundation on a variety of Arthritis related topics. She enjoys the challenge of providing individual quality care for each of her clients.


Lynn Kitzmiller has been practicing physical therapy with a concentration in orthopedic and sports medicine for over 30 years. She has been with Patterson Physical Therapy for 9 years. Lynn attended Baylor University and graduated with a BS from University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. Shoulders, hips and ankles continue to be an area she particularly likes to concentrate on. She is also part of the Aquatic Therapy team. Lynn will become certified in the LVST BIG program treating Parkinson patients this year. “I feel privileged to work in a practice that places quality not quantity care first.”


Nancy Sawyer joined Patterson Physical Therapy after receiving her Physical Therapist Assistant license. She completed her education through the Chesapeake Area Consortium for Higher Education through AACC. She also holds a BA from the University of Maryland, and an MBA from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota. Nancy is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), the Pilates Method Alliance (PMA) and IDEA Health and Fitness Association. Nancy has been involved in the fitness industry almost all her life. In addition to her PTA license, she is currently a Certified Peak Pilates Professional Instructor and is working on her Medical Therapeutic Yoga certification. She is thrilled to continue offering personal training, Pilates and Post Rehab training to clients through Healthy Living 4 Life located adjacent to the Patterson Physical Therapy Office. Nancy enjoys working with people of all abilities, focusing on better quality of life through functional fitness. She is passionate about Pilates, Yoga, and Physical Therapy and the difference they can make in people’s daily lives.


Sue Behringer joined Patterson Physical after receiving her Physical Therapist Assistant degree from AACC in 2012. She also holds a BS in Business Administration from Bucknell University. She is part of the Patterson Aquatic Therapy Team. Sue coached field hockey at SPHS for 20 years. Her interest in becoming a PTA sparked from watching many athletes recover from injuries with the guidance of physical therapy. Her past experience as a coach and athlete help sue to excel at rehabilitation of the injured athlete. She has two children who played sports at both the high school and collegiate levels. She continues to coach both field hockey and lacrosse at the club and rec level. Sue is known as the kinesio taping queen here at the office!


Randi Willey joins the Patterson Physical Therapy team after earning her Physical Therapy Assistant Degree from the CACHE program at AACC. She graduated from the University of Maryland Baltimore County in 2011, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. While in college, she was also a member of the softball team. She was born and raised in Maryland, having attended high school at Old Mill where she played softball, soccer and ran track. Randi enjoys hiking, traveling, cooking, and helping others get well.


Peter Dunn joined Patterson Physical Therapy in 2016 after receiving his degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant from the Chesapeake Area Consortium for Higher Education through AACC. Peter has been a musician, professional guitar maker, and small business owner since the late 1990’s. He discovered his passion for physical therapy after personal injury interrupted his previous career. His experience as a patient of physical therapy inspired his curiosity and drive to help others to optimize their movement so they can move and perform at their best.


In 1993, Doris graduated in Germany as a Physical Therapist. In 1997 she was accepted for the PNF program at Kaiser Permanente in Vallejo, California. After 6 months of study and hands on work with patients, she spent two weeks in Hawai’i where she met her husband. They moved to Germany where she taught back protection classes and Post Rehab training. In 2005 she took over a local gym that was specialized on Pre and Post Rehab training. In 2013 they moved to Maryland. She did her certification as a Personal Trainer at the American College of Sports Medicine, as well as a certification as a Parkinson’s Wellness and Recovery Instructor.


Jennifer Weiner has been employed since 2012. In 2013 Jenn became the office manager. She holds a BS from Salisbury University in Therapeutic Recreation. Jenn was also a member of the Salisbury Seagulls Women’s Soccer team. She is happily married to her husband Mark and they have three boys and two dogs. When she is not at work she is driving her kids all around Severna Park to their various activities!


Karen Wiley joined Patterson Physical Therapy’s office staff in April 2014. She earned her BS from the University of Delaware in Dietetics and her Physician Assistant certification from George Washington University. After working over 10 years in Baltimore area hospitals, she was fortunate to become a stay-at-home mom for her and her husband’s three children. Now that her daughter is heading off to college, Karen returns to the workforce. She has found the perfect balance between family life and work here at Patterson PT.


Deb Stevens is a Severna Park resident with degrees from both Shippensburg University of PA and University of Baltimore where she received an MBA. When not working, she is volunteering with her boys many activities, including Boy Scouts, the SP Marching Band, and track. She is originally from PA, but has adopted the Ravens and Orioles as her teams.
